
Thanks to smart phones and social media, it’s no longer enough to just photo an event. Proof of attendance is becoming the norm.
In 2013, a great image visualised the dramatic rise of smart phones with both built-in cameras and near-pervasive Internet connectivity, or rather their impact on the behaviour of crowds at events.
Two papal elections separated by eight years revealed the change:
